The hotel was lovely and the staff really friendly and helpful. Lovely little shop next door too which was great. The food was really good although the portions were enormous and there was a lot of waste as we could not eat it all. The hotel would save a lot of money I think if they reduced the portion size as it was such a shame to waste the lovely meals. Breakfast was gorgeous and those portions were just right. The hotel atmosphere was lovely and along with the bar and restaurant there was also a lovely garden room to eat in and a great garden so we could sit in the sun reading the papers. We stayed as we wanted to visit Bletchley Park. The hotel is situated in a beautiful little village which was great and away from the very busy Milton Keynes. Bletchley was only a few miles drive but the hotel is in the country so quiet and peaceful where relaxing is easy. Our bedroom was very spacious and comfortable. All in all it was a very pleasant stay and we would go back again.

Gorgeous quiet location not far off the M1. I arrived later than expected but the staff were very accommodating about ensuring I had a hot meal and I wasn't rushed. Although travelling as a single female the atmosphere in the pub was friendly and relaxing. For dinner I chose a simple dish from a lovely selection which was excellent quality and well cooked. My cider was well kept and welcomingly cool. Bedroom comfortable, plenty of hot water and hot drinks facility. excellent freshly cooked breakfast to order with the log burner lit and a lovely send off. Will definitely stay again if in the area.

A stay in the country but just 12 minutes from Central MK. Huge bedroom, quiet and warm, with everything you might want. Excellent evening meal (superb chips and exceptionally good mussels) and an amazingly good breakfast with phenomenal range of hot dishes in addition to the usual breakfast items. This pub/hotel also deserves your patronage because it's a genuine community asset - the locals use it as a pub, they run the adjacent village shop and the morning we left they were just setting up an art class in the restaurant.

Our accommodation was in a separate building to the Pub (an old converted barn). All very good. The Pub was excellent. Great food, great menu to choose from and the staff very friendly and helpful. The Pub was a really busy community Pub in a small village which was good to see. The Mobile Post office turned up for its weekly visit while we were there. It was also very central to the places we wanted to visit. Bletchley, Derngate and Wrest Park.

Breakfast was excellent and cooked to order so necessitated a short wait but well worth it. Cereals, fruit juice, yoghurts and fresh fruit salad were on hand while you waited and plentiful supply of tea or coffee. We stayed in a room above the pub which was lovely with a large comfy bed, en-suite with a shower and tea/coffee making facilities. We had an evening meal and also Sunday lunch, both of which were excellent.
